This means that they have completed a course of study covering the 12 major sections of an RV such as propane, electrical, plumbing, brakes, suspension and towing, appliances, generators, hydraulics, exterior, interior, expandable rooms, and miscellaneous tasks and 63 subtasks and scored 100% on each section before taking the next section. In addition, they are fourteen individual, comprehensive, task lists that must be observed and signed off by a licensed mentor. Finally, after completing this study, they must take a national test of 205 questions and have a passing score of 150 questions for Certified Technician and 176 questions and 5 years experience for Master Certified Technician. This explains why there are only about 2500 Master Technicians in the United States.
